About Region 3

Region 3 offers friendship to all quilters, with approximately 470 members of The Guild in this region. We also have several groups Affiliated to The Guild.  Our Regional Newsletter 'Southern Star' is produced 4 times each year, keeping members up to date of events in our region.  All members receive preferential rates and priority booking at regional and area events. In addition to the Southern Star, members also receive an e-newsletter with the latest news from The Guild.

We have contact details of approximately 57 quilt groups and they are invited to send information of their open meetings and exhibitions to the editor of the Southern Star and to the web editor of this Region 3 website.  Do look at the Groups page for all the groups listed, so as to find one in your area.

We organise two Regional Days each year, in the Spring and Autumn.  Our day usually consists of two speakers, a show and tell, demonstrations and a raffle.  On the Sunday we normally have a workshop with one of our speakers, either at the same venue, or a nearby village hall.  As our region is rather large, we do use various venues for our regional days alternating between the north and south of the region.

We also hold Area Days which are smaller informal events – full details of all regional and local events are on the events page and published in Southern Star.
